This is what I did today! I got to edit these beautiful photos of my dear gorgeous friends. They are expecting their first baby, a little baby boy, this November AND the cherry on top is that I (allison) get to be there to photograph this little miracle coming into the world. I CAN’T WAIT. I CAN’T WAIT! Hold on, did I say that I COULDN’T WAIT! It is such a blessing that Jill and Martin are allowing me to be there with them. These maternity photos just get me amped up for all the wonderful things to come!
Tina and Trevor were married in Portland, Maine on a gorgeous day in July, 2014. From start to finish everything was fun, smooth and love was in the air! Tina and Trevor surrounded themselves by family and friends who took care of them from making bouquets and singing “going to the chapel” to some simple quality time and awesome dance floor fun. It was such a beautiful day! I think these photos will speak better than any words I have… please enjoy a peak at Tina & Trevor Herrick’s Wedding Day!
When Beth and I sat down at Starbucks with Brittni and her mom Michelle last Spring we were over the moon thrilled! Once Brittni started telling us about the love of her life, Justin she lit up. I could see the purity of their relationship; this love was bursting out of her and it was so obvious that their relationship is something truly special.
We were a mix of crazy nervous, excited and happy! We were hoping and praying that Brittni and Justin would give us the honor of being there to capture their very special day. And YAY! you guessed it on June 21,2014 we were there to celebrate with them and photograph their amazing wedding day!
From the moment we stepped into the Bridal Salon we could feel the love and joy that each of those bridemaids had for their dear friends. This trend continued throughout the day, SO MUCH LOVE! Every person there, friend, family, guest was thrilled for Brittni and Justin this wedding was truly a dream come true.
They did their first look at Southern Maine Community College beach and were married at East Point Christian Church in Portland; the reception followed under a lovely tent,on the water, at Bug Light Park in South Portland. The nautical theme with anchors, local popcorn favors, and hydrangeas made for a lovely night and an awesome party!
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as we do.
Talk about perfect! One of the many reasons we love working with Sylvia, besides actually photographing and spending time with her beautiful family, is that she thinks of every detail! Sylvia asked us if we could do a Grandchildren’s session with herself, her husband Andy, all her grandchildren and their lovely mama’s. She wanted the session to be at the top of Bradbury Mountain.
When we got to the top Andy was quick to be the tour guide pointing out Bath Iron Works, Maine Med and Cousin’s Island –all places Beth and I would have never known ourselves with out our trusty tour guide. While we were learning, the kiddos got camera ready!
We had such a lovely afternoon in the park with the Charland Family! They are expecting kiddo number 2 and Chris’s sister won this session for them. We had such a great time capturing Chris and Celeste and their lovely family. It was great to snap away at adorable Caiden! We were even able to snag some Auntie/Nephew shots! Can’t wait to watch this family grow!
3 months and two days ago I was able to be a part of one of the most amazing experiences. I first meet Joy over 15 years ago in Sanford Maine at Pat’s pizza so we go way back. After my sister described what an amazing experience it was to photograph my birth and after being blown away by my pictures, I wanted to give it a shot (no pun intended) so I reached out to Joy and her hubby Matt seeing that they were expecting a baby soon. I knew that it might be a long shot considering that I hadn’t seen Joy in years, we had reconnected on Facebook at some point, and it was her first baby which in itself can be terrifying. We met for coffee and passion ice tea and they said “YES!” I was over the moon excited!
On April 14 2014 I met this sweet soon to be family of three at the hospital. I was nervous, excited and had no idea what to expect and I wasn’t even having the baby. Having two babies of my own I had no idea that this would be such an emotional experience for me. Being present for someone’s entrance into this world really is….indescribably. Saying that I am privileged or honored to be in the room really doesn’t cut it. Being at a loss for words is okay because I am a photographer not a writer. Please enjoy Matt, Joy and Milo’s story.
Thank you again and again Fletcher family for letting me into your world at such a special time, I will never forget it.
